Reported by on Monday, March 13 2006 9:30 am

There's a DailyTech report about Intel's quest to overcome AMD by releasing products with a higher quality, instead of the price cuts they've been doing for the last few quarters. Just like what the report says, if the upcoming Conroe is what they meant by "quality", they're really on the track of regaining market share: Intel isn't too worried about AMD's surge and doesn't plan to cut prices to stay ahead of the game. Intel instead aims to release quality products that leave no doubt that it is the leader in the marketplace. Intel European sales chief Juergen Thiel remarked, “We can cut prices or bring out better products. We prefer the second option."
