[Rumour] Nvidia GT300 on track for December launch

Reported by on Friday, September 25 2009 7:47 pm

Following several (often contradictory) rumours about the GT300, some claiming sub-10% yields, Fudzilla have been informed by an unnamed Senior Manager at Nvidia that such rumours are "baseless" and "Our 40nm yields are fine". What is interesting, though, is that the Senior Manager talks about 40nm in general (which could easily mean the GT21x shrinks), and not GT300 in particular. Check out more..

Regardless, GT300 is taped out and we hope it hits the stores by the end of the year. Nvidia have not announced any details on the GT300 yet, though they must reveal feature/performance details to let consumers know they are in the game as soon as possible.

As usually happens with any GT300 story - there is always a contradictory horror story around the corner. We will watch out for more rumours.
