Not content with all the buzz surrounding ATI's Evergreen cards, nVidia
will be sending out samples for their next-generation DX11 cards in late
September.
Public availability of GT300 products is expected to be some time in Q4 '09. Meanwhile, ATI will be previewing their Evergreen cards - rumoured to be the HD 5000 series - on September 10th, with public availability towards the end of September.
It remains to be seen who takes the price/performance crown this generation. Rumours suggest Nvidia will once again go for a maximum performance/large die size strategy, with ATI aiming for a mix between performance, die size and efficiency; much like the previous generation. What is certain is that ATI will be unchallenged for at least a couple of months - but Nvidia will certainly try their best to steal ATI's thunder through press previews.
