With NVIDIA acquired ULi, SiS will be the undisputed core logic maker in Taiwan. Although SiS and VIA used to be on the same level years ago, it appears that SiS is on the rebound, introducing a slew of interesting core logics this year. One of the interesting product from SiS would be their 665 Northbridge, supporting DDR3 technology for Intel platforms. With SiS going into the DRAM market, they might well be able to introduce and supply a whole set of new DDR3 solutions. On the AMD side of the things, teir 77x series of northbridges would come with Mirage 3 integrated graphics, with capability of supporting HD 1080i video streaming.
