Nokia may be going the Windows Phone 7 way, but it will be a long time before we see the device retailing in stores. Meanwhile, the Finnish phone maker is not going to phase out its Symbian offerings, seeing there are more than 200 million Symbian-based devices on the market to date. If you are still holding on to a Symbian smartphone, why not maximize it fully with some of these apps featured here? Note that not all the featured apps are free. All apps are tested on the Nokia N8 touchscreen smartphone.
Most smartphones on the market have basic call management features including mute, call logs, incoming and dialled numbers, as well as check call duration. If you want more features, check out the Advanced Call Manager app.
The Advanced Call Manager can handle numerous phone and offers call blocking options too, including busy tone, SMS auto-reply, mute, divert calls, personal voice greeting (available for Nokia phones only). You can also create lists of contacts, choose how to filter their calls, save profiles and schedule them to change depending on the time of day or your location.
