107 trillion Emails in 2010

Swedish based Web monitoring site Pingdom reports that in 2010, a whopping 107 trillion emails were sent by users around the globe.

Swedish based Web monitoring site Pingdom reports that in 2010, a whopping 107 trillion emails were sent by users around the globe. That equates to 294 billion emails per day, with only about 11 percent
being actual emails and not spams. Other statistics published include
1.88 billion email users in the world, 255 million web sites, 25 billion
tweets, and the mother of all – Facebook added 250 million users in
2010, and its users shared 30 billion pieces of content (links, pics,
videos, etc) every month for the past year!
