Kids as young as just a few months old these days are already in tune with tablets and other mobile gadgets. This is evident by a recent report of a 14-month-old girl who managed to navigate her dad’s eBay app and purchased him a car.
Sorella, the whiz kid from Portland, Oregon, took it upon herself to gift her dad with a vintage car recently, and like the gracious father that he is, he has graciously accepted his daughter’s gift.
Well, by now you should already know the story, and if you haven’t already caught on Sorella actually accidentally purchased her dad the car while playing with his smartphone.
“She decided to open the eBay app and started clicking around and one thing led to another and we own a car,” said dad.
Instead calling eBay and reporting the purchase as an error on his daughter’s part, Sorella’s dad decided to keep the 1962 Austin-Healey. The car itself is a fixer-upper, and dad says that he’ll work on prepping the car for when Sorella is old enough to drive.
In the grander scheme of things, now we know why companies like eBay are making their apps so easy to use.
