Expecting Samsung to ship 63nm 4Gb MLC chips at the end of September or the beginning of October, Taiwan memory module makers have plans to unveil 1GB microSD cards next month. In addition to challenging SanDisk’s and Kingston’s dominance of the market segment, competition from the Taiwan sector will also bring down prices.
