AMD Adds Kuma & Lima To Athlon Brand

As we have mentioned before, Phenom X2 branding will be changed to Athlon going forward. The dual core Athlon 6-series are based on Kuma core originally scheduled for launch in Q4 this year are pushed back 2 quarters to Q2 2008 to make way for arrival of triple-core Phenom 7-series in March. There will be 2 models at launch; Athlon 6250 and 6050, both at 65W TDP but exact clock speeds are not determined yet. Previously, AMD listed them at between 2 to 2.6GHz clock. Also AMD plans to add two single-core 45W Athlon processors using Lima core to replace Orleans early next year.
