GeForce 9600GT Launch Delayed To 21st Feb

Nvidia has informed their partners that the launch of the GeForce 9600 GT has been pushed back by one week from 14th February to 21st February due to a voltage issue with the reference cards. Here's the notice : "We've seen a small percentage of 9600 GT NVTTM boards exhibiting a voltage transient on the NVDD power supply during certain applications"

Nvidia has informed their partners that the launch of the GeForce 9600 GT has been pushed back by one week from 14th February to 21st February due to a voltage issue with the reference cards. Here's the notice :

"We've seen a small percentage of 9600 GT NVTTM boards exhibiting a voltage transient on the NVDD power supply during certain applications"

This only affects the Nvidia reference cards and many AIC partners will be designing their own cards instead.

The GeForce 9600 GT GPU is codenamed G94-300 and reference card is codenamed G94P545. It is clocked at 650MHz at 1.10V with a package size of 35 mm × 35 mm FCBGA. The reference card has 10 layers PCB, single slot, 4.376" × 9.00", and has 95W max power dissipation. The cooler solution used is Cooler Master TM62 which the fan is rated at 0.28A, 2600rpm.
