GeForce GTX 280 & GTX 260 Price Up

Reported by on Friday, May 30 2008 11:37 am

CJ let us know that GeForce GTX 280 will be sold for $ 649 while GeForce GTX 260 will be sold for $ 449 at the time when they are launched on June 17th. Also we got to know that the price to AIC partners is $ 485 and $ 325 for GTX 280 and 260 respectively so there is a tidy sum to be made by their partners. As our previous article has suggested, the GPU cost alone is $ 100-$ 120 and so Nvidia isn't making as much money as they would love to. As such, they will try to lower cost by going 55nm.
