HD 2900 Pro & GT Cards In Sep-Oct
CJ let us know more about the upcoming HD 2900 Pro and GT cards that are expected to hit the market in Sept-Oct timeframe. It is R600 based but has only half the number of stream processors at *160. 2900 Pro is expected to clocked around 600MHz and has 256-bit memory interface. HD 2900 Pro is priced at US$ 249 and will score between 8000-9000 pts in 3DMark2006. There is no info on 2900GT yet. However, the timeframe between 2900 Pro and 2950 Pro is very close (~ 3 months) so AIB partners might not wish to produce in large quantities and consumers would definitely prefer the cooler and better performing RV670 cards.*Edit : We heard 2900PRO has 320 stream processors instead.
