VR-Zone brings you some pictures of the Wind PC taken apart and power consumption figures!

We've managed to do some power consumption tests using our trusty Power Meter.

MSI Wind PC Dissection and Power Consumption Test

Power Consumption Figures without battery Idle Load
Minimum Brightness (0%) 9.8W 17W
Medium Brightness (50%) 11W 18W
Maximum Brightness (100%) 12.6W 19.4W

Maximum power draw occurs during full load with maximum brightness and battery charging, where 32W of power is drawn.

The review unit that was delivered to us came with a 3-cell 2200mAh battery which the initial batch of Wind will be equipped with. Subsequently, MSI will be rolling out a 6-cell battery (4400mAh) which promises up to 5.5 hours of battery life. From our tests, the Wind will last an approximate 1 hour 15 minutes at constant full load an and approximate 2 hours and 15 minutes under normal usage conditions.

Meanwhile, you guys can ogle at the Wind while our mouth stays shut on performance figures, while we're under NDA. =X Enjoy!
