And here we have the retail packaging box. Black and gold colour themes with images of a remote controller to give users a feel of entertainment.
The SG33G5M, at first sight, exhibits some wow factor to even the most demanding image-savvy computing individuals.
Just take a a look at the precise evenly coated surface of the front panel. Gold ascents coupled together with a stealthed 5.25" drive bay cover makes this little shiny gem a joy to look at!
A really cool aspect of the Shuttle SG33G5M would be the VFD. The unique Versatile Front-panel Display (VFD) shows currently playing multimedia content.
.
A close-up shot just for you at VR-Zone! The faux gold buttons give the system an added bling factor.
The underside view of the SG33G5M, comes with 4 rubberized standoffs to elevate the casing above the desk level. Perforated ventilation holes are also present to assist in the intake of cool air.
Side ventilation holes galore - no problems with airflow here!
Here you have the backview of the Shuttle D'VO, heat is primarily drawn out via a 92mm exhaust fan, cooling Shuttle's proprietory heatsink. Shuttle has managed to keep the form factor relatively small despite the huge advancements in hardware.
The usual array of audio outputs, USB ports and even a firewire miniport, are concealed beneath a foldable cover-flap. Over to the extreme left, there is a built in Biometric fingerprint scanner, and a USB speedlink function button.
With the Biometric scanner, users can scan their fingerprints to login instead of using a conventional keyboard and mouse. The USB speed link function allows users to dedicate a designated folder as a "thumbdrive" ; by using a USB Link cable, it can connect to other PCs and will show up as a thumbdrive (using the dedicated folder) on the destination PC.
The Biometric scanner and USB Speed Link function are features available on the Deluxe model only.

i did, too. take it as a lesson learnt =)
Also, the ICE cooling technology is not effective. I have a Quad Core processor in this machine and under sustained full load, the CPU temprature is at around 70 C.
I still don't believe this machine should be given any awards till all these issues are resolved.
Finally, if Vista does not work on this machine, then Windows 2003 Serve is better than using it as a $400 door stop which is what this machine should be given an award for.
I have played several Blu-Ray movies using a Pinoneer BDC-2202 Blu-Ray ROM and PowerDVD (latest Ultra Version).
Overall the machine is still a little unstable. Crashes most of the time when waking up from Sleep mode and hangs when screen saver is activated. Seems like some of the drivers still need some work.
Overall the the Hi-Def movie quality is acceptable. Not the greatest playback quality. Sometimes the video is jerky. The playback is not as smooth as when I use an MSI NVIDA 8500 GT card which is perfect.
I believe more time is required to iorn out driver instability before this machine is prime time.
