You know how some people claim that packaging is an art that few can appreciate until they get to unbox a well-packed product? Apparently, it seems that the LG was keen to go all out with the Optimus 2X's boxing by packing the smartphone into a nice little attention-grabbing…box. Yeah. Well, you get the picture. Besides, you cannot deny that it is not a nice box anyway.
Apparently, the Optimus 2X is not known as such over here; instead, the smartphone is marketed as the P990.. That said, Optimus 2X definitely sounds better, no?
Clearly, LG wanted to make sure that consumers fully understand the fact that their new Optimus smartphone is the world's first mobile phone to feature a dual-core SoC from the likes of the graphics powerhouse known as NVIDIA. That can be the only reason why this fact gets brought up every so often on the box itself:
Opening the box reveals an informative reminder from the PR company responsible for sending down this review unit that the smartphone should come bundled with the listed accessories needed in order to take full advantage of the its features and processing power. Of course, you will not find this informative little note stuck to the actual retail boxes for the Optimus 2X.
Since looking at a pink slip of paper detailing the items that are supposed to come as part of the standard bundle does not make for interesting reading, here is a picture of the all the accessories nicely arranged for your viewing pleasure.
