Acer and Asus Freezes Netbook Releases Until 2010

In a recent move by Intel that the upcoming Pine Trail-M platform Atom N450 processor has been delayed to 2010, Acer and ASUS have frozen the launch of new netbook platforms.


In a recent move by Intel that the upcoming Pine Trail-M platform Atom N450 processor has been delayed to 2010,
Acer and ASUS have frozen the launch of new netbook platforms.

As manufacturers push to clear their existing stocks of nettops, netbooks, the delay in the Pine Trail-M platform will allow more time for clearance of their stock.

No tentative date have been set on when the postponement will be until, at least until 2010 but we should still be able to see Asus’s ION based nettop in October 2009, together with the Eee Box 1006.
