In a note by Acer's chairman - JT Wong, the Android netbooks recently announced by Acer will actually ship as dual-boot systems with both Android and Windows.

The move by Acer came as they believd that the dual-OS strategy is much safer for Acer as consumer acceptance of the Android platform is still unclear.

While having a more common operating system Windows around is good, it is no doubt that people are concerned about the increased "support costs" and also additional license costs to have Windows included.

However, Acer does not rule out the possibility of having a Android-only netbook if there is demand from telecom providers
