Acer will soon be releasing a version of their C7 Chromebook that will include a 16GB SSD for the same price as the previous model, which only included a hard drive instead.
When it was first released, the Acer C7 Chromebook was criticized for having a having a hard drive rather than a SSD, presumably to keep the cost as low as possible. Well, it seems enough time has passed, because Acer will soon be releasing a C7 Chromebook that includes a 16GB SSD, and will retain its same low price of $199. - 1.1 GHz Intel Celeron 847 dual-core processor
- 2GB RAM
- 802.11a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, webcam, flash card reader
- 16GB SSD

- Size of 11.2” x 8” x 1.1” and weight of 3.1 pounds.
The base price will remain at $199 for the aforementioned specs, and there will also be an option for a model that includes a 320GB HDD instead of the SSD, as well as 4GB of RAM instead of the 2, and this one will cost $250. Best Buy currently lists the notebook as coming soon.
