Adobe Extends HTML5 Support To Dreamweaver CS5

Adobe Dreamweaver CS5

Despite the dispute with Apple over Flash on iPhones and that Apple supports HTML5 instead of Flash, Adobe has announced that the new HTML5 solution will be made available for web designers and developers at the recent Google I/O conference.

Adobe is adding the HTML5 Pack as an extension to their new Dreamweaver CS5 for web designers and developers. The extension claims to provide more creative options to Adobe Creative Suite 5 users, for them to create, deliver and optimize content across wide array of screens.

The HTML5 Pack extension for Dreamweaver CS5 is available as a free download, at http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/html5pack.html.

The HTML5 Pack extension includes new code hinting for HTML5 and CSS3 capabilities that allows Dreamweaver users to make use of the new HTML5 tags easily. The extension also includes WebKit engine updates and improvements to support video and audio in Dreamweaver CS5’s Live View. Users can also design multi-screen web pages easier with the new CSS3 capabilities, with previews on how they would look on various browsers and devices.
