Albatron will be introducing their K8T890 board shortly into the market, featuring their new mPOWER module technology.

What this mPOWER module does :

  • It brings down the mainboard MOSFETs (around the CPU) temperature by 35%.

  • What this means is that with the mPOWER you can overclock this board higher and/or has increased stability under extreme overclocking condition – since heat is the single biggest factor against overclocking and overclocking stability.

    Without mPOWER module :

  • 80Amps (full loading) -> 10 mins -> 150 degrees celsius

    With mPower :

  • 80Amps (full loading) -> 10 mins -> 110 degrees celsius !

    The board wil lalso feature a PCIe X4 to support future devices like SATA2 adaptors and gigabit nics that will come in flavors of PCIe X4. Also the PCIe X4 is backward compatible with PCIe X1 devices.
