Alleged iPhone 5S back panel reveals modified home button component
As Apple’s rumored September event comes close with each passing day, the frequency of iPhone related rumors and leaks increases. Today new a new picture has surfaced that compares iPhone 5S back panel with that of the iPhone 5. A modified home button component can be clearly seen.
Design wise the iPhone 5S is expected to be similar to the iPhone 5. That’s not a surprise, given that previous “S” named iPhones have never received design upgrades. The major changes are always made under the hood, and that’s what is expected from the iPhone 5S. However, if this particular component is legitimate, there might be a slight internal modification made to the back panel of iPhone 5S, which is similar to that of the iPhone 5 from the outside.
This picture posted online by NoWhereElse clearly shows the modification that has been made. To be precise, the modification has been made to the metal spacer cushion that supports the home button. Its possible that this might have been done to accommodate the much rumored fingerprint sensor iPhone 5S is expected to come with. Rumor has it that iPhone 5S will have a fingerprint sensor underneath its home button, though nothing has been officially confirmed as yet.
Another subtle change expected to be made is the independent flash component, as the iPhone 5S is expected to come with a pill shaped dual LED camera flash. Rest of the device is said to be similar to its predecessor. Apple is expected to announce iPhone 5S at an event on September 10th.
