AMD Boosts Up Radeon X1550 Clocks

AMD plans to cut all the Radeon X1300 series, re-nominating RV516/RV505 to Radeon X1550, and provide them more over-clocking power Since the core is fabricated with 80nm process, AMD confirmed that the core is capable to be over-clocked to 600MHz without any change to the core voltage. Manufacturers are also approved to give a over-clocked Radeon X1550 special version to the market, which may be running at 700MHz with additional voltage and improved heat-sink. ATI Radeon X1550 256MB has the same price as Radeon X1300, says $ 65; while its special over-clocked edition is a not much more expensive and is just $ 69. Its rival would be GeForce 7300GS 256MB. Radeon X1550 has a 25% lead to GeForce 7300GS, and the figure is even higher for the special edition at 45%.
