, AMD is preparing to launch Athlon 64 X2 6400+ clocked at 3.2GHz
on 90nm Windsor core to compete against Intel Core 2 Duo E6850. This processor
will be the last of Athlon 64 X2 family before Phenom X4 comes along in Q4.
Pricing will range between US$ 220-248 and is predicted to ship shortly. However,
the performance of the X2 6400+ is still 10-15% below the E6850 and
overclockability is limited.
