AMD Extends Athlon X2 “Brisbane” Life Span

AMD plans to extend the Athlon 64 X2 family based on Brisbane core with 2 new processors in Q1 next year to deliver greater platform continuity. A new X2 processor which model name is not determined yet has a TDP of 89W, is positioned in between X2 6000+ and 5600+. AMD also continue to deliver 45W energy efficient dual core processor based on Brisbane core with Athlon 2450 but removed the BE naming.
