AMD has a new chip called K8L with several variants that will come out in 2007 to pit against Conroe and Woodcrest. It is the server variant and has 2x the floating point units. It will push about 1.5x the floating point performance of the current chips in the real world. Woodcrest is going to be an Int monster, but slightly weaker on the FP side.
