AMD today announced the launch of the AMD Solution Provider Programme, a
channel programme designed to provide instant rewards for channel partners and
easy access to marketing, sales and technical support. The points-based
programme will reward channel partners for their loyalty in purchasing authentic
AMD products, as well as offer a dedicated marketing and training programme
across the Asia Pacific region.
AMD has consolidated a number of existing programmes throughout the region into
a single comprehensive programme with four tiers aimed at system builders and
local OEMs, business partners, resellers and dealers, and retailers.
"Our system builder channel partners offer their customers highly differentiated
and customised systems in many cases responding to each customers specific
computing needs," said Sam Rogan, marketing director for the Asia Pacific region
at AMD. "In turn, we created a program that demonstrates our commitment to the
channels business needs and rewards our partners continued support of AMD. I am
confident that the programme will succeed in offering our partners the tools
they need to grow their business with AMD."
The new programmes online portal will provide all channel partner members with
immediate access to information on business activity, marketing collateral, and
events and promotions relevant to their business. Members and prospective
members of AMDs channel programmes can access the portal at
The portal will automatically process the applications of new AMD partners
and enroll them in their relevant programme tier, at which point new partners
will be sent a welcome kit to help them get started. Existing channel partners
will be registered automatically, but will need to complete their business
details prior to being able to access and download information from the site.
Once a channel partner has registered, they immediately begin accruing points
for their AMD marketing activities. Partners can redeem their accumulated points
for marketing materials and activities including events, advertising, direct
mail, merchandising services and promotional goods. Partners simply upload the
serial number of their AMD product upon purchase to collect their points.
The initial launch of the AMD Solution Provider Programme will be for channel
partners in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Malaysia. Other countries in
the Asia Pacific region will be added to the programme in the first half of
