Active Media Products (AMP), leader in netbook SSD upgrades, has unveiled the Atomix series of USB 3.0 adapters for desktops (PX, PCI-e x1 card) and laptops (EC, ExpressCard).

Both are built on NEC’s µPD720200 controller, feature two USB 3.0 ports
and are fully backward compatible with USB 2.0/1.1. Backed by a one
year warranty, they can be purchased from Amazons at a MSRP of USD 35
(Atomix PX) and USD 40 (Atomix EC).

“These adapters were designed to facilitate the migration to USB 3.0 by
offering a quick and easy upgrade path for most existing desktops and
laptops”, Active Media Products’ VP of Sales, Jerry Thomson said in a
statement.”
