Analyst predicts 13 MacBook Pro with Retina to be in store before Christmas

KGI’s Ming-Chi Kuo is at again, and this time he predicts that Apple will have the 13’’ MacBook Pro with Retina display in stores by early October.

Apple did not mention a 13’’ MacBook Pro with Retina display at WWDC, but Kuo asserts that it was not announced because of assembly limitations.  Kuo also predicted—prior to WWDC—that Apple will also include a 17’’ MacBook Pro with Retina display also.  Hence, Apple may keep their current model of having 13, 15, and 17’’ MacBook Pros.

Kuo also expects that the 13’’ MacBook Pro with Retina to not have a discrete GPU (i.e. 650M) like that of the 15’’, but he predicts that Apple will opt to rely on the Intel HD 4000 instead.  Furthermore, he predicts that approximately 300,000 15’’ MacBook Pro will be ready for consumers within this month.
