Bad news for owners of the Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II, the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for your phones has been delayed by an uncertain amount of time.
The Samsung Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II are the two 2012 flagship devices from the Korean company, the former a 4.8-inch Smartphone while the latter is a 5.5-inch phablet. While Samsung has always been timely with providing updates to newer versions of Android to their high-end devices (mainly flagships), the pending Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for the aforementioned devices has been delayed. The reason for this delay?
Samsung delayed 4.2.2 for Note II and S III. Reason new TW for S III and Note II.

The duration of delay is uncertain as of now, but we don’t expect it to be too long. SamMobile’s tweet says that the causative agent of the delay is TouchWiz. With Android 4.2.2, the 2012 flagships will be treated to a new flavor of TouchWiz, most likely the same one as on the Galaxy S4. If that is indeed the case, perhaps it is worth the delay. We already know that Samsung will be bringing all software related features from the S4 to the S3 (and Note II as well, we figured). Of course, hardware features such as the barometer will remain exclusive to the Galaxy S4.
