Android 4.3 Jelly Bean for the Galaxy S4 Google Edition now available for download [UPDATE: Hands-on video]
SamMobile has on their hands the world’s first build of the unreleased Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS, for the Galaxy S4 Google Edition. Mind you, this firmware comes even before Google officially announces the new version of Jelly Bean to the world.
This day will go down in history as the first time a OEM phone gets a newer version of Android before even is officially announced by Google, or even before any Google Nexus device receives the update. This stock Android 4.3 firmware compatible only with the Galaxy S4 Google Edition GT-i9505G comes while every Nexus device is still on Android 4.2.2 JB. We would like to remind you that the firmware package isn’t officially endorsed by Samsung, but is a leaked build that popular source of exclusive Samsung related news SamMobile were able to get their hands on.
SamMobile’s post is rather confusing, as they don’t clearly state for which device the uploaded ROM really is for. Once they mention that you shouldn’t at any cost flash the firmware on your Galaxy S4 GT-i9500/9505, but a little way down they say that this is their gift to Galaxy S4 developers with GT-i9505 devices. We urge you to check out the Xda-Developer Forums of the said device models before trying to flash the package on your Galaxy S4.

While the original leak is meant to run on the Google Edition Galaxy S4, XDA-Developer ‘Faryaad’ has ported it over to the Snapdragon 600 powered Galaxy S4 GT-i9505 version.
