Fleet-Swap technology. Fleet-Release is a “single modular package” that allows users to access
the HDDs and fans from the front for easy upgrades, maintenance and
cleaning whilst Fleet-Swap is a set of hot-swappable SATA drive bays
that can be placed anywhere within the drive cage to the users’
All Dark Fleet chassis feature a bottom-mounted PSU, a front side I/O
panel with USB 2.0 ports and AC’97/HDA compatible audio connectors, and
are pre-installed with two 140 mm TwoCool fans (one top & rear),
Fleet-Release 120 mm access doors, and washable fan filters. The higher
end variants (DF-85 & DF-35) sport top-mounted hot-swappable 2.5″
SATA (SSD-compatible) drive bays and four (only two for DF-35) 3.5″
Fleet-Swap™ SATA drive bays. The DF-85 also boasts lockable drive bay
doors for protection against thefts. Prices have not been confirmed yet but the Dark Fleet series chassis are
expected to start shipping in June 2010. All Dark Fleet chassis are
covered by Antec’s AQ3 Antec Quality 3-Year limited warranty on both
parts and labor.
