AOpen i915GMm-HFS Sonoma Board Preview
VR-Zone brings you a preview of the Aopen i915GMm-HFS, a motherboard engineered for the HTPC (Home Theatre Personal Computer) enthusiast.
Aopen has sent us a i915Mm-HFS motherboard, exploiting the latest Sonoma technology by Intel, this board is able to support 533FSB Dothan processors and features lots of onboard features that will entice consumers to buy this board for HTPC usage, like HDTV and DVI connections, along with Onboard High-Definition Sound.
What does all these means? with all integrated onboard features, users will be able to pair the i915GMm up with a slim profile HTPC desktop casing, with processor, rams, hard drive and an optical drive, you can instantly churn out a sleek and mean HTPC machine. Pentium M processors along with DDR-II memory, along with no additional I/O cards also means that the system consumes very little power, thus you have no need to worry that your electricity bills jumping sky high. You can also skip the expensive DDR-II memory and continue with normal DDR memory, at a performance hit of course, as the i915GM chipset only supports dual channel DDR-II memory.
