Cupertino is reportedly working with top audio engineer Tomlinson Holman on this product.
Apple has made no secret of the fact that its looking to expand into more product categories. In fact just earlier this month, CEO Tim Cook said that the company is going to launch products soon that will push it into new product categories. Cook didn’t exactly say what the products are going to be, but there have already been a lot of rumors about possible devices. The latest is claimed to be one that will be able to predict heart attacks by listening to the sound of blood gushing through a user’s veins.
This isn’t the first time that Apple has been linked to medical or fitness related products. It is consistently rumored that iWatch will be geared towards mobile health monitoring, and recently it was also rumored that top Apple executives met with U.S. Food and Drug Administration officials to discuss possibilities relating to “mobile medical applications.” From the looks of things, Apple seems to be bent on disrupting the medical field with its products, but its too soon to be sure exactly what the products are going to be.
It is also rumored that a top Apple executive has met with Elon Musk, Tesla’s CEO, though no details about the meeting are provided. As far as cars go, Apple doesn’t seem to have any intentions right now of making one of its own. It may look towards increasing the presence of its software in the car, the company has already gone down this road with iOS 7, with the next major update finally expected to bring the iOS in the Car feature.
