Despite what you think about iOS 7 you can’t deny the impact that it has had in the Apple universe since its original unveiling. Sometimes it’s hard to remember that it’s still in beta. Well, the good news is that now it’s in beta 2. Prepare your iPads.
It has been a whole 2 weeks since the original release of the beta for iOS 7 that people have been testing on their iPhones. Now, an over the air update has been made available to bump things up to the second version of the beta. There isn’t a whole lot of information in the details provided by Apple rather than the typical “bug fixes and improvements”, but there is more to this one than meets the eye.
The most important change comes with the addition of official iPad support, which can be seen in images below provided by 9to5Mac.
What you’re seeing above is obviously the new homescreen as well as the new control center on the bottom. Other additions to the new beta include the return of Voice Memos and the new male and female voices for Siri in english. There are reports surfacing that Siri has also seen a performance improvement when it comes to the speed of the feature. Don’t be surprised if people discover other new goodies the more it gets tested but it’s nice to see Apple sticking to a good release schedule.
