The latest version of the iPad 4 offers twice the storage of the previous highest capacity model, with all the same features, such as a 9.7-inch Retina display, an A6X processor, FaceTime HD camera, and iOS 6.1.
 
The 128GB iPad 4 will launch on 5 February for $799 for the Wi-Fi model and $929 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model. They will be available in black or white.

Coinciding with the announcement is Apple's latest update for iOS, which brings it to version 6.1, This is bundled with the latest iPad model and is also available as a free update for the iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 2, 3, and 4, iPad Mini, and iPod Touch fourth and fifth generation.
 
The main feature of the new version is the addition of LTE capabilities to 36 more iPhone carriers and 23 more iPad carries around the world, allowing for faster data connections than ever.
 
The update also allows users to employ Siri to buy movie tickets in the US through Fandango, and allows iTunes Match subscribers to download individual songs from the iCloud to their devices.
 
Apple's SVP of worldwide marketing, Philip Schiller, boasted that iOS 6 may be the most popular new version of an operating system in history, with a whopping 300 million devices using the platform in just a five month period.
