Along with the introduction of iPad 2, iOS 4.3 will ship pre-installed and will be available to iPad, iPhone and iPod touch (3rd & 4th Generation) on 11th March. iOS 4.3 brings about improved Safari performance, Personal hotspot (WiFi sharing) for iPhone 4, improvements to AirPlay, toggle for iPad to set switch to either mute or rotation lock, Photo Booth app for iPhone 4, and iTunes home sharing.
iOS 4.3 apps
Apple has also developed two new apps in addition to iOS 4.3. First, an iMovie app specifically for the iPad.
The new iMovie app for the iPad looks fantastic and packs a lot of punch. It resembles more like the desktop version of iMovie and users can upload their masterpieces directly from the iPad to sites such as YouTube, Facebook, Vimeo and more. Available on 11th March, iMovie for iPad will go for US$4.99.
The next new app for the iPad is GarageBand. Similar to the iMovie for iPad, this impressive little app also resembles much alike to it's desktop sibling. Besides being able to mix tracks on the go, you can also compose music by "touching" instruments such as the piano, drums, guitar. Think of this as those instrument apps already available boosted with a mixer/recorder. Also available for US$4.99, you can download yours from the App Store from 11th March.
