20th Century Fox has revealed the release date for the Assassin's Creed movie. The movie that is being produced and starred in by Michael Fassbender is slated for release on May 22, 2015.
Every year it seems there is news about a videogame series becoming a movie, but very few actually end up getting released. They usually go through some sort of turmoil with scripting or production, or just fade into oblivion with the hope that everybody forgets they were ever planned. If that’s something that bothers you, then there is definitely some good news today for all the videogame-to-movie fans out there.
20th Century Fox has officially scheduled a released date for the Assassin’s Creed movie. Box Office Mojo is reporting that the movie being produced by New Regency is slated to release on May 22, 2015. You might find some good news and bad news in the distant release date: the bad news being that it’s far away, and the good news being that they might take the extra time to create a better movie.
Speaking of the quality, it definitely has a nice name attached to it. The always popular Michael Fassbender is producing and starring in the movie himself. The script will be written by Michael Lesslie, who according to his imdb page doesn’t seem to have many works that we can judge him off of just yet.
Regardless, it’s nice to see that there is an actual release date for this thing; now we just have to exercise our patience. I’m sure that’s something gamers are good at.
