At the Computex Show in Taipei last year, ASUS launched their 1000 series Eee PC that features a 10-inch screen and 1.6 GHz Intel Atom CPU. And last month the manufacturer unveiled their latest 1000HE model which features the new Intel Atom 280 processor (1.66GHz).

However, for this review, ASUS sent us their first batch of 1000HE which is equipped with the older N270 processor (1.6GHz). However, we were informed that the retail version will be using the N280 processor instead.
