A large black box with the usual marketing designs holds the N7800GT TOP SILENT and its slew of accessories.
The card is securely kept in packaging specifically tailored for it. Not surprising given the elaborate heatsink design which would be more prone to damage than normal heatsinks.
A whopping 8 CDs worth of software is included, along with the usual installation guide and quick setup guide. The software included are:
- Graphics Drivers
- Multilanguage Manual
- ASUS DVD
- Cyberlink Medi@Show SE 2.0
- Cyberlink Power Director 3DE
- King Kong the Official Game of the Movie (full version)
- ASUS Bonus Gamepack: Second Sight, Chaos League, Power Drome
- ASUS Bonus Gamepack: Savage, Billy Blade, Mashed
The media software is nice to have, but more interesting is the array of games included with this card. Unfortunately, only King Kong is worth a look at, with the rest of the games being old ones. Hopefully, ASUS can include more of the latest games with their high-end cards, instead of old ones that simply would not do justice to a high-end card like this one.
Digging deeper, we find a nice surprise in the form of a disc wallet. Some may find it useful, while others may not, but it is still a nice accessory to have.
We also find the usual hardware accessories in the form of a DVI-to-VGA converter and a PCI-Express power adapter cable.
The VIVO capabilities of the N7800GT TOP SILENT come in the form of a TV-Out breakout box. It contains the TV-OUT, TV-IN, and even support for HDTV-OUT. ASUS even went so far as to include a little piece of 3M tape for the user to hold the breakout box in place with.
The bundle of accessories is a good one overall, fitting of a high-end card, but it could have been even better if ASUS had included more new games instead of outdated ones.
