ASUS N10JcIntroduction
Ever since ASUS Eee PC first appeared in the market in 2007, it created a growing demand for small form factor notebooks - commonly called netbooks. At that time, the Eee PC was noted for its portability, running Linux operating system and having an affordable price tag. But not long after that, almost all laptop manufacturers came up with their own version of netbooks with display sizes from 8-inch to 12-inch, equipped with the new Intel Atom processor which is more power efficient than their Core 2 Duo sibling, and offer storage options of either a 2.5-inch hard disk or Solid State Drive (SSD).
ASUS brought the N10Jc to our shores in November last year which is designed for users who are constantly on the move, and claims to be the world's first 10.2-inch notebook PC to feature Nvidia GeForce 9300M GS graphic card and HDMI port. But it was only recently that we managed to get one for review.
If you checked the ASUS website, you would notice there's a similar N10J model. The main difference is that the N10J is preinstalled with Microsoft Vista OS (either Ultimate, Business or Home Premium). Our review unit is running Windows XP Home Edition.
