ASUS P5E3 X38 Overclocking Test

Let’s take an initial overclocking test on this X38 chipset Motherboard.

Let’s take an initial overclocking test on this X38 chipset Motherboard. First I tested out my pair of Mushkin DDR3 on it.

There seems to be some problem with certain RAM dividers but running very low latency for DDR3, at CL5-5-3 at 763MHz! The SuperPi 1M time looks very fast at that speed.

The tight spacing on the 2 x16 PCIE slots may give some problem to Cross-Fire overclocking, but with my PCIE Riser, it gives me more allowance.

So I used the riser on the second slot to give me more cooling room.

Testing with moderate GPU speeds, it does 26K 3D Mark 06 fine with 5166MHz CPU speed.
