The ASUS P5N32-SLI Deluxe is a pretty new board based on the Intel nForce 4
x16 chipset. As there are not a lot of overclockers using this board, little
information is shared about enhancing the overclocking capabilities on this
board.

Today, we show you some tricks to enhance the overclocking capability of this
board!

The ASUS P5N32-SLI Deluxe is a pretty new board based on the Intel nForce 4
x16 chipset. As there are not a lot of overclockers using this board, little
information is shared about enhancing the overclocking capabilities on this
board.

Today, we show you some tricks to enhance the overclocking capability of this
board!

 

First of all, this board provides up to 1.75v for CPU core voltage. This is
more than enough for the normal overclockers. But for the extreme overclockers
who use high-end phase-change cooling or Liquid Nitrogen cooling, they will
need more voltage for higher clock speeds on Intel Pentium CPUs such as the
Pentium 4 670.

For a Core Voltage boost, locate the IC chip ADP3181 right beside
the LGA socket:

Solder a 10K ohms Variable Resistor to the end of the SMD capacitor marked
above. Set it at the maximum resistance of 10K ohms. Connect the other end of
the VR to any grounded spot. For those new to voltage modding, please check

Tune down resistance to increase voltage.

 

For the DDR2 voltage, this board supplies up to 2.4v in 0.1v increments. For
those die-hard overclockers, some go up to 2.6v if they have DDR2 memory that
like this high a voltage.

To boost the DDR2 Voltage, locate the measurement and modding
hot spot right below the Memory slots:

You can measure the Memory voltage at the leg of the MOSFET marked above, with
a multimeter.

Solder on a 10k ohms variable resistor to the spot marked above. Connect the
other end of the VR to ground. Set the VR at maximum resistance of 10k ohms.
Tune down resistance to increase voltage.

Alternatively, you can just use a simple pencil mod to increase the Memory
voltage.

Pencil the resistor marked below to increase voltage.

3  ASUS P5N32SLI Deluxe Voltage Boosting Mod

Do it stroke by stroke, taking resistance measurements in between. Default
resistance is 540ohms.

So now you can have all the core voltage and memory voltage you want….
