5 ASUS P5ND2 SLI Deluxe Voltage Mods

The ASUS P5ND2 SLI Deluxe is not as popular a board as its 955x chipset brother,
the P5WD2 Premium. Nevertheless, there are still people out there who overclock
on these boards and may need a bit of modding to get more voltages from the
board. More details here.

First off, the 1.7v CPU core voltage cap may be a little too low for those
on water or phase-change cooling who run the new Intel N0 steppings CPUs, such
as the Pentium 4 670. The VCore regulator is located at the right side of the
LGA socket:

Solder a 20K ohms Variable Resistor to the solder pad marked above. Set it
at maximum of 20K ohms, connect the other leg of VR to any grounded spot and
tune down resistance to increase voltage. You can monitor this voltage reading
from the bios hardware monitor.

For those who are going to do extreme overclocking on this board, you may want
to do the over-current mod as well. The board limits the current supplied to
a safe limit, but some people like to tread on dangerous ground. So if you’re
one of those, solder a 100K okms VR to the spot marked above. Set the VR at
the maximum resistance of 100K ohms and ground the other leg of the VR. Tune
down the VR to increase the current limit.
