ASUS could launch its latest PadFone flagship in the U.S. today, following an official announcement at CES.
The PadFone X first broke cover through a benchmark site, and evleaks suggests that the device could be launching in the U.S. as soon as today, at least on AT&T. It’s possible the phone-cum-tablet will be shown off at ASUS’ press conference at CES in the next few hours (along with other products, including a Windows and Android dual boot tablet / notebook hybrid); there’s no saying when AT&T will actually make the device available to consumers, though the press conference should reveal a few availability details.
According to the previous leak, the PadFone X is expected feature a quad-core Snapdragon 800 MSM-8974AB processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and a 5-megapixel camera. The tablet dock carries a screen resolution of 1920×1200 pixels – the phone itself probably has a 1080p display as well, though there’s no telling what the screen size on either the phone or tablet will be (likely around 5- and 10.1-inches respectively.)
