The UL80 series is one of ASUS' line of thin and light notebook PCs, designed with a slim profile and superior mobility for the business professionals. Our review unit is the UL80Vt model that weighs approximately 2.0kg, which may not be the lightest 14-inch laptop we have seen, but it is still portable enough to carry around without breaking a sweat.

According to the maker, the UL80Vt features the proprietary Turbo33 technology, which enhance system performance by up to 33% for smoother videos, online streaming and other multimedia experience. With ASUS Power4 Gear technology, you can customize your preference according to the tasks you are doing and have the option to turn off the hardware devices to conserve power; the UL80Vt boasts an incredible 12-hours battery life with power saving options turned on.

Hardware-wise, the laptop is decently equipped with a 1.3GHz Intel Core2 Duo U7300 processor, 4GB DDR3 memory, 500GB hard disk and preinstalled with Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit operating system, which looks powerful enough to run most applications with no problems. (Well, we will move to the benchmark tests in a bit.)
