We have heard of SLI for notebooks half a year back with two GeForce 6800Ultra Go on a Dell notebook and we are pretty sure NVIDIA is going do it again for their recently launched 7800 GTX Go. The only problem is that your battery power is going to drain real fast with that setup and is only viable if AC power is connected. However, ATi has something up their sleeves and is going to challenge SLI on mobile front with their mobility Crossfire and i am pretty sure that it will go nicely with its Power Express Technology to reduce power consumption considerably. ATi has demonstrated to their partners a notebook featuring Mobility X800XT in Crossfire fitted onto a MXM module and fortunately a dongle is not needed. Certainly, there will be Mobility X1800, X1600 and X1300 series when the time comes. Availability is now the key thing so let’s see when ATi can deliver this solution.
