Crossfire Xpress 3200 small ATi Xpress 3200 officially launched

ATi had officially launched their spanking new 2x PCIe x16 Crossfire core
logic formally known as RD580. The ATi Xpress 3200 is what ATi calls as the
backbone of an Enthusiast PC. This time, they’ve really delivered the goods on
time, so great kudos to them. =) By the way, we’ve already posted a review of
the ASUS A8R32-MVP based on this chipset. Take a look
here. “ATI CrossFire™ Xpress
3200 Platform Chipset is a defining milestone for the PC industry, as it is the
first to unleash true, unrestricted 2×16 PCI Express® interfaces. Designed from
the ground up for the enthusiast and professional, this advanced CrossFire
chipset pumps an unparalleled bandwidth of up to 8 GB/s to each GPU. The result
is astonishing performance with brilliant and intense 3D graphics. This
architecture increases bandwidth and dataflow and reduces the bottleneck that
occurs in other pseudo x16 solutions.”
