Many people are saving up a nice sum to either replace or upgrade their current phone to the Samsung Galaxy S IV, but only a select few carriers have the device available for pre-order.
AT&T and U.S. Cellular both currently have the Galaxy S IV up for pre-order. The 16GB model is going for $199.99 with a two year contract for both carriers, but U.S. Cellular is offering a free S View Flip Cover that is valued at $59.99. Pre-orders from AT&T will ship out April 30, and for U.S. Cellular customers the ETA varies depending on location and contractual status.
(They come in all sizes, but not necessarily shapes.)
Other major U.S. carriers such as Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile will likely follow suit, though, no dates have been announced. Some leaked Staples documents, however, is suggesting that T-Mobile will start selling the Galaxy S IV on May 1st, and Verizon on the 30th.
Samsung is set to launch a few other major smartphone products in May, with the main ones being the Galaxy Mega 5.8 and 6.3. If screen size is what you’re going for, then perhaps wait out for the Mega and the Note III (or pick up the Note II).
