AT&T-bound Nokia EOS (Lumia 1020) shows off its (not so sexy) hump in unofficial pic
Looks are not everything, looks are not everything, looks are not everything. You might want to tell yourselves that a couple of extra dozen times if you’re thinking of ever purchasing the upcoming Nokia Lumia 1020, aka EOS, aka Elvis.
Who knows, you could actually start believing it after a while. I’m being snarky, I know, but there’s just no way to flip it to make that ginormous camera hump on the back of the Lumia 1020 easy on the eyes. It’s simply… too much.
Photographed a few times already, 1020’s behind stars in the latest @evleaked pic and is as fat as before. F-a-t, not p-h-a-t. Before you’re overcome by the snarkiness wave coming your way however, do keep in mind that there is a solid reason why the rear cam is so fugly – it packs a 41 MP PureView sensor that we expect to revolutionize photo quality in phones.
The snapper will also come with neat things like OIS (optical image stabilization), Xenon Flash and LED, so we should probably give the phone’s design a break after all.
Besides, there’s a good chance the Lumia 1020 will be considerably thinner than the 920 (hump notwithstanding), which is pretty obvious from this pic. Headed towards only AT&T in the States and an array of other carriers worldwide, the cameraphone is to be introduced next week, on the 11th, in New York City.
That’s all I have to report for now, but I want to ask the EOS one last question – what you gon’ do with all that junk, all that junk inside your trunk? Sorry, I couldn’t help myself.
