A report out of Taiwan is hinting that HTC and Samsung will drop the mini versions of the HTC One and GS4 in Q3.
Samsung officially announced the GS4 mini about a month ago, and as expected the handset features a smaller display as well as lower specs compared to its flagship counterpart. The GS4 mini will sport a 1.7GHz dual core, 1.5GB of RAM, and 8GB of storage, an 8MP rear camera, LTE support and dual SIM (depending on markets),and will boot Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.
Details regarding the HTC One mini haven’t become official, but, according to speculations, the device will have similar specs to that of the GS4 mini. Meaning, the HTC One mini will also come with a dual-core processor and display size that’s somewhere around 4.2 to 4.3-inch. A recent report has indicated that the HTC One mini will drop in Q3 as well, and this latest bit of news only serves as another confirmation.
Price-wise, we’re expecting the two handsets to go for similar prices, and availability should be global considering the devices’ LTE-capability.
